For professionals
How ranking works
LocalOne ranking is built to keep search useful for customers and fair for traders. Paid visibility can improve placement, but only after the trader is already a relevant match.
Relevant service
The trader must match what the customer searched for. A plumber will not rank for gardening just because they have paid for visibility.
Service area
When a search location can be located on the map, results are limited to professionals whose service radius covers it. Without map coordinates, we match the saved town or postcode.
Trust checks
Public listings require an active plan and the required identity, right-to-work, insurance and service-specific verification checks. Paying for visibility does not bypass these checks.
Compare your options
Use customer reviews, portfolios and the availability shown on each profile to decide whom to contact. Confirm availability and the scope of the work directly with the professional.
Where Pro, Premium and boosts fit
Premium priority
Premium gives always-on priority only inside the trader's chosen services and service area. It does not override relevance.
Boosts
Daily and weekly boosts add a temporary Featured push in relevant searches, useful when a trader has capacity for more work.
Customer trust
Paid placement is not a guarantee of quality or availability. Check the profile, reviews and relevant credentials before agreeing to any work.
Search first checks listing eligibility and your service, location and filter choices. Matching results are grouped by Premium, then active boosts, then other Pro profiles. Within each group, service relevance is considered first, followed by distance when a map location is available. Reviews and availability help you compare profiles; they do not currently determine the ranking.
